As more features are added in the future, it is recommended to check the website periodically for updates. To upgrade the CAN Gateway firmware, download the following from the VBOX Automotive website:
Update Procedure
- Connect the CAN Gateway to a PC via USB using the supplied connector RLCAB117 to the USB connector on the front panel of the unit.
- Double click on the .RUF upgrade file, which auto runs the Upgrader Software. The firmware file will automatically load on to the unit, there is no need to select a COM port or select 'Upgrade’ within the Software.
- The left Power LED will flash Red during the upgrade process.
- When this is complete the left Power LED will turn solid Green, powering CAN Gateway off and back on will complete the process.

Important note: The new hardware variant of CAN Gateway must use this firmware version (v1.0.6)
to prevent any unit lock up which may be unrecoverable by a customer.
