Overview

Updated on Apr 8, 2026

The LabSat 4 Product Range consists of advanced GNSS record, replay, and simulation systems that are engineered to capture and simulate GNSS signals from the upper and lower L-band, as well as the S-band.

Individual customisation of each of its three RF channels allows for precise adjustments in quantization (up to 12 bits per signal*), bandwidth (up to 60 MHz) and sample rate.

It features external data integration** (including CAN, CAN-FD, RS232, and Digital event capture), saveable custom record settings, and easy configuration and operation via a user-friendly web interface.

It has never been this easy to record, replay and simulate advanced GNSS test scenarios.

  • 3 RF channels for multiple constellation testing
  • 12 bit I & Q quantization
  • Flexible 10-60 MHz bandwidth
  • Wide frequency range
  • High-speed data transfer
  • Over 7 TB of internal storage
  • Customisable simulations with SatGen
  • Dual CAN bus recording***
  • Inertial sensor logging***
  • Battery-powered or direct power operation
  • Available for all global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). i.e. GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and NavIC
  • Additional systems include QZSS, IRNSS, SBAS and Commercial differential services
  • Simple to use one-touch recording***
  • Record*** or replay using internal SSD
  • RS232, Digital & Dual CAN interface**
  • Remote control over Ethernet
  • External 10 MHz Reference input
  • Selectable TCXO/OCXO
  • Digital input for event marking or 1PPS recording***
  • Adjustable attenuation (+20 to -69 dB)
  • On-board GNSS receiver for monitoring RF during record and replay
  • Streaming of Real-Time simulations

* Maximum bits will depend on the model, as illustrated below.

** LabSat 4 Lite models do not have functionality for external signals.

*** Record & Replay variants only.

LabSat 4 and Tablet

LabSat 4 is available in three models: LabSat 4 Lite, LabSat 4 Core, and LabSat 4.

As your testing needs evolve, so can LabSat 4. Upgrades are available from LabSat 4 Lite to LabSat 4 Core, and from LabSat 4 Core to LabSat 4, ensuring a seamless transition to more advanced capabilities. Please contact your local distributor for more information on upgrading your LabSat 4 unit.

There are two variants of each LabSat 4 model:

Record & Replay (RP) variants

Capture live-sky GNSS signals and build a library of real-world scenarios for playback on any LabSat 4. A perfect all-in-one solution for comprehensive GNSS testing.

Replay Only (P) variants

Ideal for bench testing and production lines, these models allow you to replay pre-recorded or simulated scenarios without the need for live-sky recording.
