Racelogic will often release new firmware for VBOX HD Lite to introduce new features or changes to the firmware. Many of the changes have been made as a direct result of customer feedback. Some changes have been made to fix bugs and other issues found during testing.
The VBOX HD Lite firmware should be used in conjunction with the latest software versions to allow full use of the latest features.
Racelogic strongly recommends that all users upgrade to the latest firmware release to take advantage of the new features and benefit from the improved stability.
Initial Release
- Download the firmware file here.
- Copy the firmware file (.RLU) to the root directory of a microSD card.
- Insert the microSD card into the SD card slot on the HD Lite unit.
- Apply power to the HD Lite unit.
The LED will flash green rapidly for the duration of the upgrade. When the upgrade is complete, the LED will turn off.
- Power-cycle the HD Lite unit to finish the upgrade process.
The track map database will be updated when you upgrade the firmware on your VBOX HD Lite.
If you want to update the track map database without upgrading the main firmware, you can use the following steps:
- Download the track map database file (TRACKS.rlu) here.
- Make sure that the HD Lite is powered off and remove the microSD card.
- Move the .rlu file to the root folder on the microSD card.
- Insert the microSD card into the HD Lite.
- Apply power to the HD Lite.
The HD Lite will update its internal track database.
