Workspace

Updated on Mar 4, 2026

The workspace is an area that has been designed for non-test-specific file analysis and is automatically loaded every time the software is launched. The Workspace can be used in both offline and online modes and contains 4 main areas, a Dashboard, a Chart area, a Map area and a Video area.

You can add extra workspaces via the Add Test button to open a preset test or the + icon on the workspace tabs to open a new blank test tab that you can populate manually.

You can edit the layout in the workspaces by selecting a Workspace tab and finding the Layout button in the Home tab on the ribbon.

Click on the Layout button to open the dropdown and define the areas you want to display in the Workspace. The contents of this dropdown will change depending on the selected plugin.

The dropdown shows all available areas for the Workspace, which ones are used, and their position on the screen. Click on an area in this dropdown to use/hide it in the Workspace. You can also change the layout of the Workspace by clicking on and dragging an area to the desired location in the window. Click on the Reset button at the bottom of the Layout dropdown to restore the layout to the default settings.

Each area in the Workspace has Maximize and Minimize buttons in the top right-hand corner. The Maximise button will make that area fill the whole screen in the Workspace, automatically hiding all other areas. If you click the button again while the area is maximised, it will return it to the previous size and location. The Minimise button will automatically hide the area. If you hide an area and you want to add it back, you must open the Layout dropdown and click on the area you want to add.
