Formatting Blank SSDs With LabSat 4

If you have purchased a drive for your LabSat 4 and it is unformatted, you can format it directly with your LabSat 4 unit. LabSat 4 can detect connected SSDs that are unformatted and will give you the option to format them as ext4.

  1. Connect the blank SSD to the LabSat 4.
  2. Power on the LabSat 4 unit. 
  3. Navigate to the Menu option and press the OK button to open the Menu
  4. Press OK again to open the File Menu.
  5. Navigate to the Format SSD option and press the OK button to open the Format SSD Menu.
  6. Navigate to the required format (ext4) and press the OK button to select it.  
  7. When asked to confirm, press the OK button with Yes highlighted to complete the formatting.
