When you use the NTRIP Base Station for the first time, it becomes a Wi-Fi access point. You can then configure the settings by logging into this access point with your mobile device or a computer. A webpage is then used to configure the unit. Settings are retained after a power cycle.
The Configuration of the NTRIP Base Station is via an HTML Browser, which requires a Wi-Fi-enabled device.
First, you must identify the NTRIP Base Station SSID in the Wi-Fi connection on your device. This will be RL Base XXXXXX, where X is the serial number of the NTRIP Base Station.

Open an HTML browser and enter the unit's IP address displayed on the front panel (the default IP is 10.10.10.1) into the address field in the browser.
This will open the configuration page for the NTRIP Base Station.
When you open the Configuration page, the first section you see at the top is GNSS Status. This will display the current status of the NTRIP Base Station.
This is a numerical indicator of the number of satellites the unit is currently tracking.
- The background will become green when the unit is tracking a sufficient number of satellites AND it is outputting RTK corrections.
-
The background will become orange when it is not tracking enough satellites or when it is performing a survey.
This displays the current time (UTC).
This displays the latitude/longitude/altitude of the location currently being used as the RTK reference.
- When there is no surveyed location, it will report “----”.
This displays the current status of the NTRIP Base Station.
- “Position Fixed” - When the NTRIP Base Station has a valid reference location.
- “Surveying” along with the remaining time during a reference location survey.

The Battery Status section contains the following information:
-
Not Charging – The battery is not charging
-
Charging – The battery is charging
The percentage of charge remaining in the battery.
Displays the estimated time until the battery is depleted.
It will display “N/A” when the unit is charging.

Before the NTRIP Base station can begin to transmit RTK correction messages, it must have a set reference location, either through a live survey or by loading a previously surveyed location.
- Click the Change settings button to open the Survey Settings.
- Select the survey duration:
- 24 Hours
- 12 hours
- 1 Hour
- 5 minutes
- instantaneously
- Click Save.
- Before the survey can start, you will be prompted to enter a name for the upcoming survey.
-
Click Start Survey to start the surveying process.
When the survey has been completed, the Current location will update to the new survey.
You can load this survey at a later time via the Change Location option.
- Click the Change Location button to choose a previously surveyed location for the NTRIP Base Station.

- Select the required location from the list of Surveyed Locations and click the respective Use button.
You can view the surveyed locations on the map (if the device has a valid internet connection), rename the location, and delete it if you no longer need it by using the respective Map, Rename and Delete buttons for the relevant location.
Click the Add new location button to create a new location by manually entering latitude, longitude and altitude.
When you have confirmed the manually entered location, you will see a pop-up asking if you want to "Use new location x?" (where x is the location name).
If you select Yes, the new location will be set as the NTRIP Base Station location, and the main settings page will be loaded.
If you select No, the new location will be saved and added to the Surveyed Locations table, but the NTRIP Base Station location will not be updated.
The Corrections Output area displays how the RTK correction messages are being transmitted.
Click on the Change Settings button to access the following settings:
Set the RTK correction messages to either MSM4 or MSM7.
Set the RTK corrections to be sent via:
- the external serial port
OR
- the internal radio (NBS24 variants only)
Set the baud rate of the serial port.
Variant Limitation
The correction serial destination is not available on units that do not have an internal radio.
The NTRIP Corrections area displays the NTRIP information.
Click the Change Settings button to open the NTRIP Correction Settings and configure the NTRIP output:

Enable or Disable the NTRIP correction output stream.
The desired NTRIP Caster address.
The port number for the NTRIP Caster.
The mount point name of the NTRIP Caster.
The password for the Mount Point.
When these details are correct and you have a valid data connection, the NTRIP Status will display Connected with a green background.
If the unit cannot connect to the NTRIP Caster, it will display Connection Failed as the status.
The LTE/Wi-Fi Status area displays the LTE or Wi-Fi status for the NTRIP Base Station, depending on the configuration.
