The File Menu contains options relating to the handling of files.

Load Data

When VBOX Test Suite is in Offline mode, you can load VBOX data files (.vbo, .vbb, .dbn and .asc) for post-processing. Click on the Load button to open File Explorer where you can navigate to the location of the relevant file. When you select the file and click on the Open button, the file will automatically be loaded into the software and the results area for any open tests will automatically be populated. Click on the Cancel button during the loading process if you do not want to open the file after all.

When VBOX Test Suite is in Offline mode, you can load VBOX data files (.vbo, .vbb, .dbn and .asc) for post-processing. When you select the file and click on the Open button, the file will automatically be loaded into the software and the results area for any open tests will automatically be populated. Click on the Cancel button during the loading process if you do not want to open the file after all.

Click on Recent Files to see a list of recent VBOX files (.vbo and .vbb) that have been loaded into the software. 

Hover over a Recent Files item to view the file path.

Click on Recent Settings to display a list of recent configuration files (.vbts) that have been loaded into the software.

Click on Video Sync to open a popup window where you can load and synchronise a video from Video VBOX file(s) to the VBOX file(s).

Click on Save As to save the loaded VBOX data or live VBOX data (if in Online mode) as a .vbb, .vbo or .csv file.

A pop-up will appear where you can choose channels calculated in VBOX Test Suite, configured maths channels and test plugin-specific channels that you want to include in the file.

Either click on the tick box or the channel name to select/deselect a channel. If there are multiple sessions, you can choose which one to save by using the dropdown in the Session to save option.

Click OK to name and save the file locally on the PC, enabling you to load this file into VBOX Test Suite or a spreadsheet program for analysis at a later date.

Click on Close File/Close Session to close the currently selected loaded file or open session (if in Online mode) in the software.

Click on Clear All to close all currently loaded files or open sessions (if in Online mode) in the software.

Click on File Info to open a popup with information about the currently loaded file, such as:

  • Unit Name
  • Serial No.
  • Firmware Version
  • Data logs
  • File creation date
  • Log rate
  • GNSS Offset
  • Receiver Type
  • Receiver FW version
  • GNSS Dynamics mode
  • DGNSS/RTK Mode
  • Elevation mask
  • Dual Antenna Status
  • IMU
  • ADAS

You can select the session you want to see the information for in the Session dropdown menu at the top of the window. 

If you have loaded a .vbb file, the popup will have an added area at the bottom where you can adjust the scale and offset for the channels in the file.

Click on Save Screenshot to save an image of the view that is currently in the workspace as a .png, .bmp, .gif, .jpg or .tif file on your computer.

Click on Copy Screenshot to copy the view that is currently seen in the workspace as an image to the computer clipboard.

Click on About to display the version number of the software and a link to the release notes, along with version numbers of the individual test plugins.

Click on Release Notes to display the release notes in relation to the current software version, detailing information such as new plugins, new features and bug fixes.

Click on Help to automatically open a browser window and load the Home section of the VBOX Test Suite User Guide on the Racelogic Support Centre.

Click on Check For Updates to manually search for available updates. 

Click on Close to shut down the software.

You will be prompted to confirm that you want to exit the software.
