The Wireless Wheel Speed Sensor input to the VBOX data logger can be configured in VBOX Setup. 

There are two possible methods to connect and configure the sensors: 

  1. Racelogic Module
  2. CAN Input
     
  1. Connect VBOX 4 to power.
  2. Connect VBOX 4 to a Laptop/PC with VBOX Setup installed. 

    Use RLCAB042 to connect from the USB-B port on VBOX 4 to a USB-A port on the laptop/computer.

    OR

    Connect to VBOX 4 via Bluetooth

  3.  Connect the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to VBOX 4. 

    Use the WSCAN cable and connect to either of the CAN/POWER ports on the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to the RLCAN port on VBOX 4.

  4. Activate the Wheel Speed Sensor(s) with the supplied Magnet Switch.
  5. Run VBOX Setup.
  6. Connect to the COM port that VBOX 4 is connected to (if connected via USB),
  7. Open the Channel Setup menu. 
  8. Find the Wheel Speed Sensor Channels from your connected sensors in the list of available channels.

  9. Run the Auto-calibration by clicking on the Calibrate button. 

    Due to the wheel speed sensor output being an rpm value and not speed, VBOX Setup can trigger an automatic process that will scale all detected Wheel Speed Sensors to Speed.
  1. Connect VBOX 4 to power.
  2. Connect VBOX 4 to a Laptop/PC with VBOX Setup installed. 

    Use RLCAB042 to connect from the USB-B port on VBOX 4 to a USB-A port on the laptop/computer.

    OR

    Connect to VBOX 4 via Bluetooth

  3.  Connect the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to VBOX 4. 

    Use the WSCAN cable and connect to either of the CAN/POWER ports on the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to the CAN port on the VBOX.

  4. Activate the Wheel Speed Sensor(s) with the supplied Magnet Switch.
  5. Run VBOX Setup.
  6. Connect to the COM port that VBOX 4 is connected to (if connected via USB),
  7. Open the Channel Setup menu. 
  8. Load the Wireless Wheel Speed Sensor DBC file.
    1. Click on the CAN Input section heading and select Import from dbc/ref as the source in the Add CAN Signals area.
    2. Click Browse and navigate to the location with the relevant .dbc file.
    3. Click Load/OK
    4. Select the channels in the file that you want to log on VBOX in the list below.

  9. Apply the required scale to convert RPM to Speed. 

    Due to the wheel speed sensor output being an rpm value and not speed, you will need to scale the signal appropriately: 

    1. Click on the CAN channel in the CAN Input section.
