Ports 1 and 2 are bridged, so either can be used for POWER/CAN. The port that is not being used for POWER/CAN can be used for throughput (daisy chain) with other RL modules
- Power receiver via VBOX first
- Power Sensor with magnet second
- Check that the receiver is receiving the signal
IMPORTANT
You must calibrate the sensors before the test!
How?
CAUTION
- The waterproofing rating is not valid when the plug is not inserted securely in the charging port.
- The K-type connector is waterproof.
VBOX Wheel Speed Sensors are fully wireless, eliminating the need for securing arms, power feeds, or data lines. This allows for effortless installation and precise wheel speed data capture.
We offer package options with or without a mounting kit. The standard kit includes chuck sizes of 17 mm, 19 mm, and 21 mm, while larger sizes (22 mm and 23 mm) are available separately. For HGVs or vehicles that are incompatible with the standard mounting kit, our sensor-only package provides a flexible solution.
You can find more detailed installation instructions here.
- Connect VBOX 4 to power.
- Connect VBOX 4 to a Laptop/PC with VBOX Setup installed.
Use RLCAB042 to connect from the USB-B port on VBOX 4 to a USB-A port on the laptop/computer.
OR
Connect to VBOX 4 via Bluetooth.
- Connect the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to VBOX 4.
Use the WSCAN cable and connect to either of the CAN/POWER ports on the Wheel Speed Sensor Link Data Receiver to the RLCAN port on VBOX 4.
- Activate the Wheel Speed Sensor(s) with the supplied Magnet Switch.
- Run VBOX Setup.
- Connect to the COM port that VBOX 4 is connected to (if connected via USB)_
- Open the Channel Setup menu.
- Find the Wheel Speed Sensor Channels from your connected sensors in the list of available channels.

Run the Auto-calibration by clicking on the Calibrate button.
Due to the wheel speed sensor output being an rpm value and not speed, VBOX Setup can trigger an automatic process that will scale all detected Wheel Speed Sensors to Speed.
Note: If you are using a different VBOX data logger or third-party data logger, the configuration will be slightly different.
You can find information about how to configure the CAN input from the wireless wheel speed sensors in VBOX Setup here.
