You can save the settings on the MFD Touch device to an inserted SD card. This is particularly useful when you need to apply the same settings to other units, such as in test fleet equipment applications.
To save the settings to an inserted SD card:
- Access the Select Settings menu by tapping on the Settings button.
Settings button
- Tap the Save Settings to SD button.
Save Settings to SD button
- Enter a suitable file name using the presented keyboard.
Input screen for settings file name
- Tap the Confirm button in the bottom right corner to save a file with the entered name or tap the Cancel button in the bottom left corner to return to the Settings screen without saving the file.
When the file is saved successfully, MFD Touch will display the following behaviour:
- the LEDs will flash green
- the unit will emit an audible confirmation notification
If a settings file with the same name already exists on the SD card, the unit will advise that the file is being overwritten. You can cancel the overwriting process by tapping the warning screen within the first 5 seconds. If the process is cancelled, the LEDs will briefly flash red and the unit will emit an audible tone to notify that the overwriting has been cancelled.
Note: If you tap the Save Settings to SD button and the device cannot detect an SD card, it will display the following behaviour;
- NO SD CARD in the screen header
- all 4 LEDs on the unit will flash red twice
- an audible error tone
