Connect the antenna cable (RLCAB067) to the connector on the survey antenna and connect the other end to the primary antenna port (A) on the VBOX unit.

The pole needs to be held close to the vehicle at the point you wish to survey.

Place the pointed end of the pole at the ground and hold the pole as level as possible (use the level guide at the center of the pole to help).

Note:

  • If you hold the pole mid-air, it will be difficult to keep the pole level and the position of the surveyed point on the ground/vehicle will not be accurate. By placing the sharp, pointed end at the bottom of the survey pole on the ground, it is easier to pinpoint the precise antenna position.
  • It is important that you hold the pole at a 90-degree angle from the ground and as close to the vehicle as possible. The surveyed point will be placed at the antenna position.

Storage

Store the Survey Pole in an upright position and in a low-risk location to avoid it falling and damaging the pole, antenna or any object it may hit.
